JPJ vehicle bulldozed after driver gets fined
Why would a backhoe operator on tyres do this in response to a “summons” from JPJ officers?
After driver receives a fine, JPJ car is bulldozed. After obtaining a summons, the old backhoe driver lost his composure and attacked the JPJ officers’ car. The authorities should look into this response more thoroughly. How did the police speak to the backhoe operator? What terms or phrases did they employ when they questioned the subject and issued the summons? Were the vehicle and its operator forcibly prevented from using the road? Did the backhoe operator feel threatened?
When stopped by enforcement agents, such behavior from road users should not be tolerated, yet such a response is exceptional. The JPJ vehicle has sustained significant damage! I’ve occasionally been stopped by law enforcement, and while most are kind and professional, some are not. JPJ might be able to take something away from this argument. When law enforcement officials encounter a road user, rules of engagement come into play. Enforcement officers should typically be able to carry out their duties without raising a fuss thanks to their training.
Contrarily, when enforcement authorities approach a road user, they typically cause them to feel anxious and disturbed; as a result, they need to be made to feel comfortable before being questioned. JPJ should issue a statement after their inquiry is over. Two officers and a villager’s safety were immediately in danger, and the asset had been damaged at significant cost. The backhoe driver, a guy in his 60s, was still being held by law enforcement as of 03.07.22. The elderly man’s family has stated that he is typically calm. A DAP MP is requesting that the findings of an investigation be made public.
